Reconstruction of Re-encounter

Very unusual, in neither having the same start table nor being mirrored. Explicitly a Roman game.
Equipment: A Tables set with 3 dice
Based on: Alfonso MS
Direction of Play: Clockwise for both players, but not starting in the same table.
Setup: Each player puts all 15 men on the 1 point that is at his far right.
Play: An in Common Tables Concepts, but you may not double up a space until it has passed your 12 point. (That is, until it has gotten past the large lump of enemy men on your 13 point.) Bear off over the 24 point relative to where you started.
Taking these rules naively, it is possible to screw yourself up quite badly: if you fill your home table, you are no longer able to re-enter your blotted men, because there is nowhere to put them without doubling. This can slow your game down greatly, or even cause you to lose. Therefore, a possible variant is to interpret the rules to say that you can not move into a doubled position on your side, but you may enter blotted men that way. This changes the character of the game considerably, so agree with your opponent whether you want to play with this variant beforehand.
